มุ่งสู่ความเป็นเลิศและเป็นหน่วยต้นแบบการเรียนรู้ทางการศึกษาด้านความมั่นคงวิถีใหม่ พร้อมทั้งขับเคลื่อนเพื่อเปิดโอกาสทางการศึกษาให้กับ

กำลังพลตลอดจนผู้เข้ารับการศึกษาจากทุกภาคส่วน เพื่อให้สามารถเป็นนักคิด นักยุทธศาสตร์ที่มีภาวะผู้นำ วิสัยทัศน์ ทักษะการแสวงหาความรู้ เพื่อพัฒนาตนเองและกองทัพ สามารถเอาชนะทุกความท้าทายจากสถานการณ์ที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็วได้อย่างชาญฉลาด โดยมีเป้าหมายเป็น DIGITAL NDSI ในปี พ.ศ.๒๕๖๕ และมุ่งสู่การเป็น SMART NDSI ในปี พ.ศ.2580

พันธกิจ

สถาบันวิชาการป้องกันประเทศ มีหน้าที่พิจารณาเสนอความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับ นโยบาย วางแผน อำนวยการ ประสานงาน กำกับดูแล และดำเนิน

การเกี่ยวกับการศึกษา การประศาสน์วิทยาการด้านความมั่นคงแห่งชาติ การวิจัยทางยุทธศาสตร์ การเผยแพร่วิทยาการทางทหาร การประวัติศาสตร์ โบราณคดี และพิพิธภัณฑ์ทหาร การดำเนินงานอนุสรณ์สถานแห่งชาติ และสภาการศึกษาวิชาการทหารของกองทัพไทย มีผู้บัญชาการสถาบันวิชาการป้องกันประเทศ เป็นผู้บังคับบัญชารับผิดชอบ

Philosophy

Education, cooperation, and coordination in national security are fundamental foundations of the states

existence.

Vision

We strive for excellence and aim to be a leading example in modern security education. We aim to expand

learning opportunities for military personnel and students across all sectors. We focus on developing a thinker and a strategist with strong vision, leadership, and a commitment to continuous learning. These qualities will prepare them to grow personally, strengthen the armed forces, and adapt intelligently to rapidly changing situations. Were working toward becoming a DIGITAL NDSI by 2022 and moving forward to become a SMART NDSI by 2037.

Mission

National Defence Studies Institute has focused on the ideas of policy, planning, directing, coordination, and

administration of education, dissemination of knowledge and research in national security, strategic research, dissemination of military knowledge, military history and archaeology, military museum, administration of the Thai National Memorial, Military Studies Council of Royal Thai Armed Forces, under the supervision of the Commanding General of the National Defence Studies Institution.
